To day
first Bohag as per our
Axomia calender year (14 April as per English calender) which we celebrate as
New Year. A month long
Bohag Bihu festival of
reveling is observed by us
Axomia, conjuncting with season Spring
budding of new leaf & flowers on plants after showers of rain, with chirping of birds & singing of cuckoo. A joyous moment & love every where.
And my
son now a year old & his
second year of innocence to observe
Bohag Bihu, (he was hardly 20 days old in last Bohag)as if asking me,
Yeah, Whats this & Whats our future ? Yes, a question, that's I have seen
evolving all around a drastic changes since my childhood & ongoing my other two daughters growing season. A vast
generation gap building up due to
constant bombardment of E- culture & seeping of international odds & even, social custom by profit making brands & company, not bothering the effects & toll that's altering the customs &
society in masses. And
controlling authority keeping a
blind eyes to these
changes in society.
The
effect could be felt, as our child today specialy in
Assam, does not know its
own history of
existence, they show
delinquency to know their cultural in-inheritances. A very
dangerous sign for any
civilization for its
existence.
I presume these trends is happening world over.
But still as
nature follows its own course like changes in
season, earth quacks, tsunami etc. our only
hope is in the
word Love, which
stimulate to live in harmony amongst various ethnic civilization internationally. So,
my son whether we are here or not, follow the natural rule of Love & every thing will be seen in place. A happy Bohag Bihu / Rongaali Bihu to all people world over.
