At the End of March 2014: Assam

To day 31st March and the time has flown swiftly in Assam. The speed of flying time was fueled by forth coming Lok Sabha (Parliamentary) election schedule in Assam. The political parties and citizen alike are very much involve on the process for selecting their representative by ballot in this largest democracy of the world.

Its yet hard to say whether UPA government under Cong(I) will survive for another five year term in New Delhi.

As a new trend of popularity for BJP is a surprise up-rising seen against Cong(I) in Assam.

With regional party AGP also gunning in the fray at late hours as their strategic ally BJP opting to go alone in this election will be a deciding factor for BJP also for Cong(I).

Another deciding factor will be AIUDF under Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal who is showing soft corner to Cong(I) by fielding unknown & weak candidate in few of the constituencies in Assam.

A major factor which may go against Cong(I) is the forcibally arrest of KMSS leader and activist Mr. Akhil Gogoi by Assam government through conspiracy. So, its a hectic month end.., hope to see Spring Season singing Bohag Bihu festival & new year of Assam in good spirit in the coming month.

Stepping to Third Year

Today the 28th March and exactly three years ago my Son 'Bhargav' was born. Yes that's his birth day. And today looking back & comparing growing up and nurturing my other two siblings I just feel many hard days are ahead for them with growing chaos in our society, unemployment, spiraling education cost etc.

A simple celebration with his two elder sister. As today I see 'Bhargav' stepping to third year in to realm of harsh present day world, I reflect upon the above thoughts which must have occurred to the parents of children in other part of this world also. Any way son life is fight, its god gift, learn, face and enjoy as whatever the consequence you may see in future with your each step in life. Remember if you do good to your fellow human being you will be looked after. Never afraid ... Happy birth day ...

Khushwant Singh: Remembered

Its a great lost to journalistic world in India with the sad demise of one of the most active brain at the age of 99 years today. Yes the grand old man Mr. Khushwant Singh is no more.

He was no nonsense writer & journalist. Was editor of many news & literary magazines but become popular amongst many of its reader world over as editor of 'the Illustrated Weekly of India, the Hindustan Times & the National Herald' during 70's till 80's.

He dared to criticized late Indira Gandhi and also protested by returning his decoration Padma Bhushan against raid at the Golden Temple in Amritsar by security forces.

As a common reader I will miss his write ups in Indian journal.
