The Conflict of Identity & Killings in Assam

Its very sad end for Jan month this new year 2014 in Assam. The killing of Gulzar Hussain a promising police officer in the rank of Additional Superintended of Police in Sonitpur District of Assam. The incident took place at around 0630 AM on 28 Jan 14. Its assumed he was ambushed & shot dead by suspected NDFB(S) militant in Dhekiajuli, Batasipur area. Other 06 police personnel from the patrolling party were critically wounded.
And on the other hand indiscriminate gunning down of simple unarmed villagers of Assam by around hundred armed miscreant of Arunachal Pradesh which resulted in 10 death and left scores injured. This happened on the evening of 29 Jan 14 in a remote place of Assam - Arunachal Pradesh border. The attack was in Sauldhuaa village under Bihali Police Station, in Biswanath Charaali sub-division of Sonitpur district. The villagers were actually camping and protesting against encroachment & destruction of Bihali reserve forest by people of Arunachal Pradesh.
Both killing were very tragic & inhuman. In one, the killing is political & plain terrorism for survival identity of a cause and the other, getting territory identity by terrorizing & brutalizing. And so we adieu Jan 2014 with a sad note....

Assam on road to Nazism or Taliban ?

Another shock wave of wanton killings of innocent people in Assam. The fight to self rule by indigenous people with fueling from their political masters seems to have no end. This has turn to be a vicious cycle, one faction trying to dislodge the other faction for a place of power.
But the trend of selective killing is very disturbing sign of indoctrinate of these ultras to Nazism or Taliban methods. The recent indiscriminate firing in an area of Muslim community area which killed one person & injured around four person & killing of Hindi speaking person by picking them from bus in Bodoland Territorial Council area are unthought of. This apart the killing of children, women, aged & innocent villagers by various ultras in the name of ethnic cleansing in Karbi-Anglong Autonomous Council area of Assam is most dangerous trend.
The government & political agencies seems to have become non-pulsed. They seems not able to catch hold of correct culprits. It is time we as responsible citizen should come forward to stop such incidence.

Where We Are Heading ? : Blank

Yes, to day I mean it, is a blank mindset. As a layman & citizen, I felt bit restless & solution is not coming out from my processor inside my skull to resolve this situation. I am still brooding around ...but end result is blank. Sought help from closed friends but response is same blank...
Yes, the situation around now being faced by more than 60 percent people in rural & semi-urban area in Assam. Its all leading to Zero. With devastating flood every year, eating away fertile farm land by flood, occupation of forest by destroying it by illegal settlers, escalating price rise in all essential commodities, unemployment and increase in price's of Petrol & Diesel every month.. people are in such dilemma. As most of them have to survive along with their grown up kids & day to day requirement. Even they resort to borrowing from private money landers with high interest rate. It seems The Beginning of Chaos ... in Assam,... not a good sign. And end result for society as a whole seems to end ...blank rather Zero...

Culture in Assam: Passing Phase

To day its 13 Jan 2014 and another Uruka of our Assamese Magh Bihu(Bhogali Bihu). I tend to see time flying by since last 53 summers of my life with un-fathom changes in our cultural heritage inflicted with lekuna of modern ways. The people are now more divided & has become self centred.
The bonhomie spirit of brotherhood in village community & in semi urban locality amongst us people, let alone in towns seems to impress we are becoming a dying culture. The reason so are many, like changes in heavy demographic by illegal migrants from Bangladesh, patronage by political parties to migrant,as porous international borders of Assam(India)not sealed till today, unemployment,no major industries , banning of local History & Geography subject in middle level schools in Assam by government, lack of will in present parenting and many more. Any way we as Assamese has to survive these passing phase in time and as citizen of Assam it is our responsibility to safeguard & teach young generation our heritage & culture. Yep, its Magh Bihu Uruka today, lets enjoy ... Happy Magh Bihu to all.

Pollution:: Picnic a cause in present Assam

Its been quite horrific experience for me.. nearly after a gap of two years I have been to picnic, rather sightseeing to the bank of river Brahmaputra on last Sunday with my two young friends on motor-bike..
I was quite ashamed to see people ignorant of following simple rules of conserving nature from pollution while enjoying its proximity..Though we shout against government for not saving the destruction of forest cover in Assam or destroying Kazaringa sanctuary by allotting habitats to illegal migrant from Bangladesh.. We as citizen are less aware of reality of preserving nature while enjoying nature by throwing garbage/trash, plastic bottles, wine bottles etc every where..
Wild animal consuming it un-concerned of ill affect ...The use of high voltage sound system which shatters peaceful nature.. Even Police or Forest officials are not concerned to check citizen to avoid such nuisance .. in the name of Picnic..we become holligans & destructive force .. for nature..
We don't know way to clean & destroy the leftovers after an outing in the wilderness.
