Nature on her Colours

'Holi' past first rain of the season sprinkled since evening of 01 Mar 10. Dusty streets & dust on air settled to earth by giving temporary reprive to the people from seasonal alergic hey fever, cough, stomach ailment, fevers & other summer ailments. It is the season of 'fagon'in Asom before the advent of season 'Sout' the summer season which will prepare to welcome 'Bohag' the season of spring & festival, also the new year of 'Asomia'. With this first rain the farmers will plan their year long schedule for cultivation as they still depend on nature though Govt. sponsored irrigation exist but are laughing stock to poor son of the soil.People wait for 'Bohag' to celebrate & share joy and happiness with friends and relatives subsequently try to keep pace with nature which culminate as'Bohag Bihu' the 'Bihu festival' of Asom. In modern times we still try & struggle to exist to be nearer to nature, however the 'Giant' modernisation is also trying to goble our society in the name of progress. But I am happy at least nature is giving respite by showering her joyful tears as 'rain' to dried up trees & dusty earth for the present time. New leaf will bloom from otherwise dried trees. Birds, animals & insects will be happy along with us humans. But the sason of 'Asar' & 'Savan' ......... ? lets enjoy the day now :

Todays Holi

'Holi hai' sound renders in my little village. Some lady shouts to her little child & the child friends 'Come inside quickly'. I just watched from my entrance gate. Few blakened faces with oily shoots, claping hands with abusive lingo & limb movements uncontrolably lousy, seeing me standing they stoped 'aha uncle holi hai, just enjoying'.
I called a shopkeeper friend 'How's your colours & sweet sales' reply was 'I am keeping them for next year'.
Constructively village Wine shop & country liquore vendores are doing brisk business & are actualy celebrating holi. This is our present 'Holy' festival of love, colours & brotherhood.
The women, children & common man now seems to avoid the festivals which are fabrick for social binding due to seeping of extensive abusibe mis-inturrapted culture.
