Jagadhatri Puja an another form of Shakti Puja of mother Durga is being observed on this date and time in Khelmaati, 10 KM from Goroimari, 22 KM from Tezpur and 2 KM from Balipara at Sonitpur district, Assam, India. This Puja is celebrated mostly in Assam and Bengal and at few places of Orissa and Bihar also.

Kali Puja : Goroimari, Tezpur



Unlike rest of India, Kali Puja another form of Shakti is celebrated in place of Diwali today i.e. 18th day of Kartik Asomia calender year (05 Nov 10) in Assam. And Diwali will be actually celebrated on 06 Nov 10 as per English calender year.
