Today is 18 Oct 10 and in Assam ,India it is called 'dumaahi' or the starting of Asomia calender year 'Kaati' month.(Kartik)also known as 'Kaati Bihu'. Here we light lamp on the paddy field to pray god and nature to give us prosperity of mother nature.
