Bohag: Asomia New Year, Goroimari, Tezpur

Tomorrow is 01st Bohag as per Asomia calender (15th April 2011 as per English calender) and our New Year. This culminate with the season spring which we celebrate whole month.
A festival of joy and brotherhood. I wish all an Asomia, Happy New Year & pray for peace and tranquility world over.

Holi Festival : Niz Goroimari Tezpur

In spite of rain & cold the young and old are celebrating Holi, the festival of Colours. With overcast sky the children compeld their parents to go outdoor and enjoy the festival Holi in our village.

Magh Bihu : Goroimari, Tezpur

14 Jan 10, this is Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu festival in Assam. And we enjoy a community feast after a good harvest every year a traditional Asomia culture.

Sarat Ritu : Rass Festival, Tezpur

Raas festival connected with lord Krishna's child hood and teenage exploits is being celebrated in Milan Bakori,Tezpur around 12 KM away from Goroimari, Sonitpur, Assam. This festival is celebrated in Sarat Ritu, Aghrin month of Asomia calender year which falls in every Full Moon called locally as Raas Purnima in all over Asom.
