Jaitley adheres to fiscal consolidation
Jaitley adheres to fiscal consolidation: Finance minister Arun Jaitley put his faith in fiscal prudence and capped fiscal deficit in the budget for 2016-17 at 3.5 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP), overriding a contrarian view within his ministry articulated by chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian.
