To day is
Dumahi as we in
Assam call it, the day before
sun crosses the
line of Capricon towards
North pole. And the month of
Magh (as per Asomia
calender year) starts from tomorrow. We in Assam symbolized this by praying
Agni (Fire) &
sharing and feasting the
seasons first firm product
along with complete
village community. It also usher's
end of
Winter & start of
Summer season.
