The Year 2013 AD: Dedicate to Aged & Lonely Person

Like any other passing year 2013 AD has just left few hours to become a History. Every where people will enjoy & celebrate & dedicate to well being.
But for me I dedicate this year to those person who has left imprint & guided their siblings by sacrificing their life for betterment of the society. However they were left alone either by their own siblings or by death of their life partner to defend for themselve. With passing of time our aged parents, guide, philosopher are left alone & lonely in this modern world. And so called modernity & aristocracy we trend to avoid & neglect them. A warning & bad sign for social development of brotherhood & compassion amongst our siblings in our society.

Accident just happens: I hit the Pole

Whenever I see or hear about motor vehicle accident I did not understand the mechanic of such happenings. People just blame each other. Until the other day I had an accident & hit a pole at National Highway.
In my 29 years of licensed driving this was my first accident while myself on the driver seat. My first reaction was shock then self irritation.Reaction of my four friends were mixed but thankful for averting a major accident. The time was around 0830 PM & dark. Speed of our car was around 40 to 50 KM. Head light dimmed as had seen three or four truck were coming from my opposite direction, the sooner those truck passed I suddenly saw under my headlight beam three or four person on bicycle riding haphazardly towards my vehicle in the middle of the road, just about to heat my car. The person were seem to be drunk labour's a very common phenomenon on the roads of Assam. My co-passenger started shouting stop-stop, I just slammed my foot brakes & handbrakes simultaneously & swirled the steering towards left side of the road, the car skidded missing the cyclists & thud, hit the telephone pole on the roadside. My engine running & head light still on we got down. The cyclist were nowhere to be seen it was dark & cold outside. I inspected my car switched off the engine & light. Felt for any smell of diesel. Waited for half an hour for any passerby to help us as there were no police station nearby neither any habitat a lone stretch of the road. We discussed the situation then I telephoned my other friend in Solmara, Tezpur for help. After around one & half an hour my friend appeared with a vehicle along with toeing gear. The time we reached home was around midnight.
Reason for the accident: (1) May be due to one way & too narrow National High way. (ii) No street lights on the National Highway. (iii) Drunken pedestrian / driver on the roads.(iv) Very bad condition of road with lots of pot-holes.(v)MT drivers not following night driving rules & not respecting other co-drivers on the road.(vi) Rush driving (vii)No proper self illuminated side barrier on both side of the road. Lesson learnt : (i) You are not above destiny (ii) Be even more cautious (iii) If needed stop your car & let other pass you who are rushing.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Tezpur: Celebrating Foundation Day

Its great nostalgic movement, seeing Central School (Kendriya Vidyalaya) celebrating its 50 years of foundation day. I feel proud to be an Ex from this system of schooling as my all younger siblings have grown out of this system of schooling & could established well in their life. I feel proud that presently my both daughters are still in this system of school at KV No.2, Tezpur & doing good with fine guidance of their able Principal & teacher.
Its in 1969 I was enrolled along with my younger sister as a Class -I student in primary class in Central School, AF Guwahati,(Now Kendriya Vidyalaya Borjhar, Guwahati) then under Central School, Maligaon(Railway), Guwahati & as far I remember our headmaster was some Mr. Debnath a very strict person & our science/maths teacher was Mr G Das. The School was established in building provided by Air Force at Kahikusi area. Some of my class friends were, Sunil Sangma from Tura, David Freeman an anglo Indian from Calcutta, Amulya Prasad from Bihar, Samir Singh from UP. Price Rise and Common People of Assam

With liberalization of economy in India, the price rise of common commodities in Assam is affecting all section of people .The main concern is rise in petrol & diesel price which is subsequently affecting rise in prices of Common Vegetables like Potato & Onion.Very poor person now a days can only dream for various pulses & mustered oil which cost Rs.100/- per Kg. Their daily earning is around Rs.150/- and are mostly affected as Potato's & Onion are their main diet now costing Rs.80/- per Kg. A price never ever dreamt for.
Basic reason for such state of affairs may be: (a) Hoarding & black marketing. (b) Bribery to Government agents in interstate/interdistrict toll gates to escape tax's. (c) Goon Tax / Protection tax to unsocial elements / Insurgents. (d) Unauthorised donation to political party by business community. Above cited reason are intermittently connected with politics & earning black money. In general, public opinion is that present government is indirectly connected, as the concerned ministries of State are sitting idle to check this fiasco inspite of various protest by its citizen in many forums.

Bharat Ratna: Required qualification ?

The sudden conferring of Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendulkar the cricketing genius was not a bolt from blue. It seems the award was kept under wrap by Government since last one year & looking for a correct opening to declare it, so the time came on his retiring day from Cricket. The declaration was under wrap as many were on the fray for this highest award.
And one of them was late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika a legend in his life time, singer, composer, actor, poet, politician, social worker & another one late Major Dhyan Chand the great hockey legend. With declaration of Bharat Ratna, the general people in Assam are quite saddened as same was not bestowed upon late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. The qualification for such awards now seems to be measured under standard & living, the potential to sell cause of the country & multinational company & how much profit in economic terms one can provide to them. Further it may have an eye to forthcoming general election.
How ever if a sports person was to be honoured than Late Major Dhyan Chand may have been better as he & his team gloriously showcased India in sports in very adverse condition of that period of time.

Salt & Politics of Colonial tendency in Assam: Independent India

To day at my village grocery shops, salt are being out of stock as people are purchasing it for stock purpose. Rumore that its cost will become Rs.3oo/- per KG from tomorrow. At petrol pump while refuelling my scooty I overheard from one of my Bihari brethren stating that he got phone call from Bihar that salt are being sold at Rs.60/- per KG... at their place in Bihar. Oh father of Nation.. what value you got from these thieves your successor ruling the nation.. your Dandi March of 12 March 1930 symbolising Civil disobedience against British rule. You have handed over this nation to the present date'd Jackal particularly Assam. Assam & North East India is slowly becoming a colonial branch of India. Rise the people of Assam & North East to salvage from what is left. Save Assam & India.

Wife: Reason she getting angry

The other day, she just shouted from kitchen complaining about the gas.Evening, the cupaa of tea was not served timely & milk for the kids were delayed. While at market in the evening,I got a phone call from my younger daughter informing me that dinner will not be ready in time . So I bought dinner from a local Dhabba (Restaurant). At bed time heard her speaking to my elder daughter that tomorrow tiffin will not be ready so take money from your father to eat from school canteen. These dragged on until weekend, lastly bursting into flame of fire. And then I presumed my wife is angry, because somewhere nut & bolts of our life bus has become loose or jammed. And the reason was the Gas Stove.. The life of family revolve around your Wife or your partner & her dream of a happy family revolve around to make your home comfortable. So one of her main component to make a happy home is the kitchen. And I took the cue and got it repaired ... and now happy.
May be a reason your wife or partner getting angry

And with passing of time today its the 2nd death anniversary of the great ballad singer of Assam the Late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. The singer adored & loved by each Assamese populace. However the controversy surrounding its intellectual right within his family members & one beloved still hampering timely pontification of his heritage in Assamese society. Even the local government agencies are list concern to accredit this great genius of music. Late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was one of the learned link of musical revolution of Assam from freedom movement of India till his death in this 21st century. The student of great musical gurus during freedom movement of India, like Late. Bishnu Prasad Rabha, Late. Jyoti Prasad Agarwala to mention a few. With the passing of time the populace of Assam are concerned with incompetence and worthlessness of government agencies & education institution to safeguard the heritage of this genius. However this is Assam & the people still strongly unites to safeguard this great musical man through their own little resources and means for his immortal ballads which inspires their day to day life & living.

Deepavali 2013: Its a measurement of Money power than Religion

In recent time the festival Deepavali has become a status symbol & competitive in nature amongst the residence in Assam aka India. It is loosing the ascetic & religious tag due to too much exposure of various commercials. With cost spiraling of various commodity people still try to surpass each other by burning excessive crackers & electricity along with gambling and drinking liquor. There are situation where the poor person has to borrow money to full fill the requirement of such competition due to pressure from their dependent kids. A psychological status symbol for their friends rather the enemy . Its seen except the elders, no one are interested to offer prayer to the almighty, a very saddening status of this festival.

Dhanteras of Dewali & Ethnic Assamese Society: India

As far as I remember few years back the urban ethnic people in Assam never use to celebrate or understood the meaning of Dhanteras of Diwali festival. With time passing & many of mainland migrant of India getting settled, local populace initially started imitating Dhanteras as a style or getting themselves adjusting for identifying through these as an Indian. However, if one happens to visit the inner ethnic villages in Assam, during this festival, you hardly can find the pomp & show of festival Diwali, except in few house hold, that is also due to some member might have resided in Urban area or in main land India. The reason of such distraction may be due to historical facts of Assam.

Legacy of Parenting : Assam

As said by some wise man Child is the father of man, and being from lower middle class family, it is quite hardship to raise a child in this present eco-socio scenery here in India. How ever the joy of raising a family is nothing to second. I now realize the scolding & bickering of my parents during my growing years as teenager which were nothing but warning and caution to face this unpredictable world. Those scolds & beatings were for their love to their child, so that they can face the reality of life in this harsh world. The legacy is passed upon to our shoulder.....Parenting...

Garbage, Civic sense & Municipal : Tezpur, Assam

I reside in a village just few KM away from our only township, Tezpur. Once this place was known for cleanliness & good civic sense in Assam. But now the situation deteriorated, even municipality is lackluster on their duty. There are rules & laws to punish such dumping of wastage by the road side which are eye sore & regular sight inside the town ones so beautiful.

Small Scale Industry & Local Resources : Assam

With minimum locally available resources one can start a small scale industry. However it needs will & patience to start.Same was proven by one person Shri. Bhumidhar Das, from village Solagaon, Tezpur who has started a business from the scratch. In international terms say around from 100 dollars a huge amount for a poor Indian. He has started a Bhujiaa (Mixer), making & packaging industry since January 2013. His present production is daily 100 Kg.Recently he has applied for Government loan to modernize & register it.

Happy Birth Day my Son : Goroimari, Tezpur

To day this 28 Mar 13, I am bit sentimental, because one way its holi festival & another its my son Bhargav's 2nd birth day and I have to be physically away from both of this celebration as duty calls. So I could not arrange for a descent cake as all shops & bakery in my area were kept closed, celebrating holi festival. How ever he is lucky that he could celebrate his birth day with his two elder sisters by cutting home made cake honeyed with his mothers love. Happy birth Day to you son.
